We Are P.E.A.R.L.S.

We Will Reach Our Goals

Having a heart to give and a willingness to serve are at the core of the The P.E.A.R.L.S. Mentoring Program. The P.E.A.R.L.S. Club has blossomed into a nine month mentoring program matriculating over 180 middle school girls in the IPS, Lawrence, Pike, Warren, Washington and Hamilton South Eastern school districts in Central Indiana since its inception. This program has awarded over $50,000 in scholarships since its first class in 2006 and with your continued support we hope to continue our support to help young girls move through high school and then college.

The mission of the mentoring program is to promote a sense of self worth, increase financial literacy, improve perspectives toward education, and provide positive support and encouragement.

Mentor Quote:

"I mentor because I love working with youth, especially girls. They are intelligent and inquisitive, and deserved to be loved and praised! I enjoy being in a role that allows me to service these young ladies and provide them with guidance, encouragement, and support. I also think representation matters, and it is important for them to see successful, black, educated women and know they can be more than what the world tells them to be."
